Hyco Lake spreads across the Person and Caswell county line, and it's practically in our backyard from Prospect Hill. Lake properties bring their own kind of tree work: tall hardwoods and pines leaning out over the water, shoreline trees with root systems in soft ground, and lots where the best access to a tree is anything but straightforward.

Dropping a leaning shoreline tree without losing limbs into the lake — or into the neighbor's dock — takes planning and proper rigging, and that's where we earn our keep. We handle removals, canopy thinning to open up a view or ease wind load, storm damage, and stump grinding. Where a lakeside tree is healthy and holding a bank together, we'll tell you so.

Jared and his team removed a huge white oak that was located very close to my home. In fact, the previous owners built the back deck around it! Jared's climbing and rigging skills insured that my house and yard weren't damaged during the removal. His team stacked the felled wood according to my wishes and even gave me some tips on hiring a mobile saw mill. Brown's Arbor Care is a local crew with amazing skills. Jared’s technique is to climb and remove trees without expensive and disruptive heavy equipment. The nearby smaller trees were protected from damage while larger trees where removed. The crew is very clean and cleared away all parts of the tree. Jared is a very knowledgeable arborist and evaluated all the trees on my lot. I would not hesitate to call on him again to maintain the trees in my yard.
