What Meshtastic Is
Meshtastic is a small radio that sends short text messages and location updates without cell towers or internet. Each radio can relay messages to the next, so the mesh grows stronger as more nodes come online.
Altitude Is the Whole Game
Range depends on height. A radio placed six feet off the ground may only reach a small part of a yard. A radio placed sixty to eighty feet up a tree can reach across neighborhoods, ridge lines, and long rural stretches.

Can I add more nodes later?
Yes. New nodes improve coverage when placed well. Height and clear placement matter more than the number of nodes, so you can grow the mesh over time as your needs change.
